Life and death are in the power of the tongue

The tongue has the power of life and death, and those who love it will eat its fruit.  Proverbs 18:21

This scripture is so real and so true and if you don’t think so take a minute to think about all of the things you have spoken over yourself, others, negative and positive that have come to pass…. a lot right. I always tell people around me whether family, friends, or coworkers to watch the words they speak. Nothing exasperates me more than someone speaking negative over my life whether it is big or small I just detest it. No matter where i am ill say it loud and proud  “ I rebuke that in the name of Jesus, don’t speak that over me” then ill quickly pray over myself in my head. Depending on where I am at the time and who i am with some will look at me crazy and I’m totally OK with that. Being with other Christians and children of God that do this know better and i feel they do it on purpose but that it is why I stress the importance to always pray over yourself. I find myself rebuking things for others as well. I always hear people say things about themselves like “ugh shoot me now, I wanna die” just because a work load may be a little stressful but is really that serous that it causes you to want to end your life? yeah yeah yeah!! its an expression but those words they are speaking are real and can happen. Whats up with this FML, KYS, I hear people say, young and old. Why would anyone tell another person to go kill themselves!? What do you achieve out of it if they decide to take your advice? Jesus died for us to live and people are saying FML. The bible says Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; Proverbs 3:5 . 

Whatever it is you are going through you have a father that has it already worked out and if you trust in him you won’t find yourself saying things like “FML” you will be casting your cares on him. I don’t want to make this a super long blog but this was truly on my heart to send out to the  world. I challenge you to speak nothing but positive words over yourself and others and if you slip up and say negative words, quickly rebuke it in the name of Jesus and pray over yourself. I practiced this for a long time and now I’m rebuking things all over the place, sometimes I catch myself speaking negative and Ill pray and ask God to forgive me. Thinking negative has as much power as speaking negative so watch your thoughts as well! Love you all! You are all blessed and highly favored in the Lord and he loves you!
